Yemeni tribes are deeply loyal to their people........


Thousands of tribesmen threatened to descend on Yemen s capital to join the battle against forces loyal to President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
 For months, youth-led protesters have tried to drive out Saleh peacefully. But their campaign has been overtaken and transformed into an armed showdown between Yemen s two most powerful families, the president s and the al-Ahmar clan.

20 protesters killed in Yemen.......


The heavy crackdown shows Saleh still wants to preserve his 33-year rule.
 Hundreds of soldiers loyal to Yemen s embattled president stormed a protest camp in a southern city on Monday and fired on the crowds indiscriminately, killing at least 20 people, according to medical official and witnesses.
 The city of Taiz has been a hotbed of anti-government protests since crowds began calling for President Ali Abdullah Saleh s ouster in early February.

In Yemen Anti-government protests continue.....


In Yemen Anti-government protests continue following an informal ceasefire.
The confrontation between tribal groups and government forces broke out when President Saleh s security forces attacked the home of Sheikh Sadeq al-Ahmar, head of the powerful Hasid tribal confederation.
 Tribal fighters came to al-Ahmar s defence and seized a number of government buildings in Sanaa.

PROTESTS AGAINST CIVIL WAR IN YEMEN .....


Thousands of anti-government protesters fill the streets of Sanaa to demonstrate against civil war.
 Thousands of protesters, seeking to overthrow the Yemeni government, marched on Wednesday in the capital Sanaa, to condemn what they call an attempt to drag the country to civil war. 
The protesters chanted slogans decrying civil war and demanded an end to the deadly gun battles between Yemeni government security forces and opposition gunmen.
