Libyan Prime Minister Baghdadi Mahmudi proposed truce in a meeting with the UN envoy.
The state run news agency reported the Libyan Prime Minister Baghdadi Mahmudi made ceasefire offer during his meeting with United Nations special envoy Abdullah al-Khitab
The Libyan prime minister also said that his government was ready for dialogues with the opposition as the anti-regime revolt entered fourth month.
He further said that his government was committed to the unity of the people and the territory.
The UN envoy also met cabinet ministers and representatives of the government supporters but was unable to meet Muammar Gaddafi during his two-day visit.
