Second nuclear plant closed in US.….

A nuclear power plant in the US state of Nebraska has been issued a flood alert.

A flood warning was issued for the Cooper nuclear power plant in Nebraska state as the nearby Missouri River continued to rise.

Authorities said the plant would be taken off-line as a precaution, if the river levels reached 13.9 metres.

A damaged nuclear power plant has been shut down due to rising flood water.

The Fort Chalhoun Nuclear Station remains shutdown due to rising Missouri River flood waters but officials say there is no water inside the plant itself.
