Interior Minister Rehman Malik said that CIA not allowed operating in Pakistan…


The minister rebuked the security staff of the National Assembly for not frisking him. 
Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Saturday said that Pakistan was a sovereign state and would not allow CIA to launch operations in Pakistan.

US gave list of 5 most wanted militants list to Pakistan....


 As US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton visited Pakistan Friday, the United States gave Islamabad a list of terrorist leaders it wants joint operation against them, officials said.
The list includes Osama bin Laden deputy Ayman al Zawahiri, along with Siraj Haqqani of the Haqqani network, Ilyas Kashmiri, the head of the Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami and suspected al-Qaida leader, and Atiya Abdel Rahman, al-Qaida operations chief, the US TV reported, citing unnamed officials from both governments.

United States has stepped up direct talks with the Afghan Taliban....


The United States has stepped up direct talks with the Afghan Taliban for a political settlement. A US newspaper reported that the Obama administration was directly engaged in negotiating with Taliban and discarded the option of Pakistan’s mediation by calling it “unnecessary.” A US representative attended three meetings in Qatar and Germany, with a Taliban official considered close to Mullah Muhammad Omar, the report said.
            It said that Washington was hoping to make progress in these talks before July, when President BarackObama announces the first troop withdrawals from Afghanistan, part of a process of handing over responsibilities to Afghan forces by 2014.

Osama bin ladhen buried in deep sea sans funeral.......


International media claimed that Osama’s body was thrown into Arabian Sea after putting it in a heavy bag.
After the May 2 operation in Abbottabad, Pakistan, the dead body of Al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden was first brought to Bagram Airport in Kabul where samples were taken for the DNA tests. Then his body was sent to American navy ship Carl Vinson anchored in Arabian Sea.
According to western media reports, the body of the Al Qaeda leader was put in a heavy bag and thrown into the sea. No one offered his funeral prayer. An officer recited some religious words before the sea burial.
 The point where the body of Osama was thrown and identity of the persons who were present have been kept secret. 

John Kerry hints at 'disturbing' Pak links with Taliban.......


John Kerry is expected to continue on to Pakistan later today.
Kerry said there was some evidence Pakistan knew about Taliban hideouts in Pakistan, a finding that he called disturbing. US Senator John Kerry says the US relationship with Pakistan is at a “critical moment” because of the killing of Osama bin Laden.
Kerry, chairman of the powerful Senate Foreign Relations Committee, was speaking Sunday in the Kabul. He is visiting both Afghanistan and Pakistan to mend relations following the unilateral US strike against bin Laden. But he also said that bin Laden’s death may present a new opportunity for reconciliation with the Taliban in Afghanistan. First time he uses hard language against Pakistan.
