President signs on reference to reopen Bhutto murder case....

On Friday, President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari signed on the reference to reopen murder case of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, the founder of Pakistan People’s Party.

The spokesperson of Asif Ali Zardari, Farhatullah Babar said that the reference was signed under the article 186 of constitution. And reference would be sent to the supreme court of Pakistan within two or three days. He also said that federal cabinet authorized the president to send a reference to the Supreme Court.

            In 1979, death sentence was awarded by the Lahore High Court to Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto in Nawab Muhammad Ahmed Qasuri murder case. Supreme Court of Pakistan reject the petition of this murder case in March 1979 and upheld the Lahore High court death sentence of ZA.  The death anniversary of Bhutto will be observed on April 5.

Benazir Bhutto murder case hearing would be conducted today in Adiyala Jail Rawalpindi. The Judge of Anti Terrorist Court Rana Nisar will hear the case.

                In last proceeding of the case, the court issued non-bailable warrants of the former persident and army chief Pervez Musharaf. The court also ordered that he would appear before the court. The govt.’s lawyer Ch. Zulifqar submitted in the court in pervious hearing that a Questionnaire was sent to the Musharraf but he did not responed it.
