Panetta and Petraeus nominated for top slots in US......

Panetta and Petraeus will move to their new offices on June 20.
President Barack Obama has declared his new defence team according to which Leon Panetta, the current CIA chief, has been named as secretary of defence and David Petraeus, who commands the international force in Afghanistan, as the CIA chief.

Obama has sent the names of the two officials to the senate for approval. The US senate would confirm both the nominees as neither of the two is expected to encounter any serious opposition.
The White House hoped that both the officials would be able to move into their new jobs on June 30, the day current Defence chief Robert Gates is set to leave.
