First Semi final of ICC world cup 2011 is played today between Sri Lanka and New Zealand in Colombo Sri Lanka. New Zealand won the toss and decided to bat first. New Zealand made 192 runs in 43.3 overs at the loss of 5 wickets and remaining their 5 wickets only increasing 25 runs in total (all time out at the score 217 in 48.5 overs). Sri Lankan opening provide excellent start to their team. Sri Lanka chase this miner target in 47.5 overs and their 5 wickets are remaining. Man of the Match award is given to the KC Sangakkara (Sri Lanka) on his excellent performance. Sri Lanka won this match with 5 wickets and qualify for the ICC world cup 2011 final. Second semi final is between Pakistan and India on 30 March. The winning team of second semi final will play final with Sri Lanka.
