Second quarter final of ICC world cup 2011 was played between Australia and India. Aus won the toss and decided to bat first. Today Australian Ricky Ponting played very well. Aus gave 261 targets to India with the contribution of 104 runs of Ponting. Indian spinners did allow the Australian batsman’s to play openly and performed very bad. But Indian pacers performed very well today. Zaheer Khan, Ashwin and Yuvraj picked 2 wickets each. India chase this target in 47.4 over’s. Tendulkar gave good start to the Indian bating. He faced 68 balls and makes 53 runs. Man of the match is given to the Yuvraj singh on the biases of his excellent bowling and match winning inning. Yuvraj makes 57 runs on 65 balls. India won the match with 5 wickets.
Australia played every final from 1996. But this time they failed to qualify for semi final. Now the semi final will played between India and Pakistan in Mohali on 30-03-2011. India have the advantage on Pakistan that they never lost against Pakistan in ICC world cup ever. But on the other end Men in Green shirts also ready to change the history this time.
